300 East to Close for Major Improvements

SALT LAKE CITY – 300 East between 400 and 500 South will be temporarily closed March 1—May 29 for major improvements that coincide with the completion of Salt Lake City’s new Public Safety Building. Residents and commuters are advised to seek alternative routes during this period.

While closed, the one block stretch of 300 East will undergo major improvements including:

Mayor, Chiefs to Announce Walkway Naming Contest   

SALT LAKE CITY – Mayor Ralph Becker, Police Chief Chris Burbank and Fire Chief Kurt Cook will host a media event on Monday, Feb. 4 at 10 a.m. on the southeast corner of Library Square (near the intersection of 300 East and 500 South) to announce a naming contest for the mid-block walkway on the new Public Safety Building site.
