NWQuad: Economic Implementation Plan

The EIP will implement goals and objectives of the Northwest Quadrant Master Plan, and will provide much more specific data and information regarding:
 
Infrastructure investment to promote best land uses, economic diversity, potential funding mechanisms to spur development, and more.

Strategies that enable Salt Lake City to compete globally and increase commercial tax revenue and create sustainable and good-paying jobs for city residents.

Identify local and regional assets, determine industry and business sector targets, and develop a plan for attracting companies and encouraging new businesses to the Northwest Quadrant.

Methods to engage stakeholders in the quadrant development process—including Salt Lake County, property owners, and city residents. The EIP will emphasize the many strengths already in place and those to come in developing the area, including:

o Access to Interstate 80
o Access to Salt Lake International Airport
o Access to the regional distribution centers
o Adequate infrastructure and reasonable costs for utilities and fiber
o Access to heavy and light rail service
o Adequate and skilled workforce to meet current and future growth
o Efficient, predictable, and supportive permitting processes
o Local government support
