Gas main replacement by Questar Gas started completed in July 2015. Road surface treatments and changes to traffic operations by Salt Lake City followed immediately upon completion.

1. Utility Upgrades
Questar installed a new gas main from 100 South to 800 South. Work is finishing.

2. Road Resurfacing
Beginning in August of 2015, the Salt Lake City Streets Division applied a slurry seal to the road surface to renew quality and longevity.

3. Streetscape Improvements
Following re-sealing, the Transportation Division installed a new street layout that includes protected bike lanes.  Parking is now shifted away from the curbs, creating separation between auto traffic and curbside bike lanes. The new design also includes Utah's first protected intersection layout, shown below at 200 West and 300 South, to create a safer destination for people visiting downtown.
