CITY PERMIT PARKING PROGRAM FEES

NOTICE: EFFECTIVE JULY 1, 2009, REGULAR CITY PERMIT PARKING (CPP) PERMITS WILL COST $36.00 ANNUALLY. SEASONAL AND PARTIAL YEAR PERMITS WILL BE PRO-RATED BY THE QUARTER. THE COST INCREASE REFLECTS THE ACTUAL ADMINISTRATIVE COSTS ASSOCIATED WITH OPERATING THE CPP PROGRAM.

1. REGULAR vehicle parking permits: $12.00 per year per vehicle.
2. GUEST and VISITOR vehicle parking permits: There is no fee; however, at least one Regular vehicle parking permit must be purchased to obtain Guest and Visitor vehicle parking permit privileges.

There are no requirements for residents or non-resident property owners to obtain city parking permits; however, those vehicles parking on the street within the designated permit parking and not displaying valid permits will be subject to posted parking restrictions/prohibitions and may be cited if observed in violation.

NOTE:

1. Issuance of a city parking permit does not guarantee or reserve to the holder an on-street parking space in front of or adjacent to their residence and/or property or within the designated city permit parking area, nor will other valid permit holders be restricted from on-street parking of vehicles in front of, or adjacent to such residences.
2. The driver or owner of vehicles bearing valid city parking permits are not exempt from complying with parking regulations, restrictions or prohibitions as defined by City ordinance and outlined in the Salt Lake City Traffic Code other than the parking restrictions/prohibitions related solely to the city permit parking area.
