Design Review Team (DRT)

Questions about your proposed property design can be brought into our office at 349 South 200 East, Suite 450 (4th floor). Our office hours are 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday through Friday.

We are always looking for better ways to serve the public. Presently we provide the following drawings as helpful guides in your design;

Off Street Parking policy - A review guide of dimensions for off street parking lots.

On Street Parking policy - A guide for parking layout of 45 degree parking stalls and required buffers from intersections, driveways, and sidewalks.

Driveways/Grades policy - Maximum Driveway Slopes & Critical Angles - A guide for grade changes to design crest and sag curve alignment parameters per a standard passenger design vehicle. More information on Driveway Widths and types per the APWA standards are at http://www.apwautah.org

Sight Zone Triangle - Obstacles near driveways such as trees, bushes, fences can cause poor visibility during access. The "Sight Zone Triangle" provides information on what is allowed and not allowed in this area.

Garage Access - This file provides helpful placement of a garage in relation to the public street or an alley.

Side-step Access - This file provides access information to a garage or carport that is not inline with the driveway. Also known as a 3 to 1 taper.
