Mayor Proposes New Residential Transit Pass Program to Address Air Quality    
        
SALT LAKE CITY – On Friday, Oct. 4, Salt Lake City Mayor Ralph Becker announced a fresh solution to help improve air quality – a new type of transit pass that may soon be available to Salt Lake City residents, helping minimize the number of car trips that contribute to poor air conditions.

City to Launch 2013 SmartTrips Program

SALT LAKE CITY – Mayor Ralph Becker, Councilman Stan Penfold and the City’s Division of Sustainability and Environment will launch the 2013 SmartTrips program for the Fairpark neighborhood at a media event on Friday, April 12 at 11 a.m. at Utah State Fairpark, 155 N. 1000 West near the south entrance.

New segment includes paved bike trail, horse path and elevated walkway through wetlands
 
SALT LAKE CITY – Mayor Ralph Becker, Councilman Carlton Christensen and project partners will celebrate the completion of a milestone section of the Jordan River Parkway  Trail–connecting Salt Lake County to Davis County–at a media event on Thursday, June 7 on the trail near 1800 N. Redwood Road.
