Today, Salt Lake City and Economic Development Corporation of Utah (EDCUtah) announced that Big Agnes, an outdoor products company that produces award-winning sleeping bags, pads, and tents, is expanding their operation along the Wasatch Front. The company’s new domestic distribution center will be located at 1810 South 4370 West in Salt Lake City. The 30,000 square foot facility will house approximately 10 employees.
The announcement came after talks between Salt Lake City’s new Department of Economic Development, EDCUtah, and Big Agnes.
The Redevelopment Agency of Salt Lake City (RDA) invites the public to the educational session, “Missing Middle Housing: Responding to the Demand for Walkable Urban Living” on Wednesday, April 20 at 5:30 p.m. at the Salt Lake City Main Library auditorium, 210 E. 400 South.
Urban architect Dan Parolek will address the need for more diverse and affordable housing options, including duplexes, fourplexes, and bungalow courts. The focus will be on creating more walkable communities that support local retail businesses and public transit options.
The Redevelopment Agency of Salt Lake City (RDA) today released the “Request for Proposals” (RFP) for its property located at 208 West 900 South, the heart of the Central Ninth neighborhood in the West Temple Gateway Project Area. The 0.4-acre parcel is one of two remaining development opportunities in this highly connected neighborhood just south of Downtown Salt Lake City. It is adjacent to the 900 South TRAX Station and a UTA bus stop, as well as being in close proximity to several UTA bus routes, Interstate 15, and the 9-Line bicycle and pedestrian corridor.
