Downtown Street to Host Festival on Saturday
    
SALT LAKE CITY – An eight-block stretch of downtown’s 300 South will become a temporary festival street on Saturday, May 4 for the debut of “Open Streets Salt Lake City,” a free event that will create room to walk, bike and enjoy this public space free from vehicle traffic.

SALT LAKE CITY – Mayor Ralph Becker, Councilman Stan Penfold and the City’s Division of Sustainability and Environment will launch the 2013 SmartTrips program for the Fairpark neighborhood at a media event on Friday, April 12 at 11 a.m. at Utah State Fairpark, 155 N. 1000 West near the south entrance.
