What happens to it?
Many items like latex paint, used oils and fuels are sorted and sent to recycling and reuse operations. Recycled products end up back on store shelves as paint primer, caulking, and anti-freeze. Products that can’t be recycled or reused are safely stored or destroyed. Many of the products that are brought in for disposal are still useful - sometimes still brand new. These items are available free to the public at the Reuse Centers. Visit the centers to pick up free paint, pesticides, fertilizers and much more.
