SLCgreen - Biking
With growing concern over health, air pollution, and oil dependence, bicycle transportation in Salt Lake City is become more prevalent. Salt Lake City has been designated as a silver-level Bicycle Friendly Community.
The City has over 150 miles of bicycle lanes, and access to non-motorized, off-road trails. To support the City's growing network of bike trails, the City is adding facilities for bicycle parking, storage, and maintenance, including over 150 on-street bicycle racks and a new Bicycle Transit Center located at the Intermodal Hub in downtown Salt Lake City.
Salt Lake City is committed to providing urban mobility through a diversity of transportation choices – including walking, bicycling, transit, and driving. Bicycling is an important part of our transportation system, and we hope you will find this website useful when you choose to go by bike!
On this site, you can get maps, statistics, bicycle transportation plans, future facility expansions, advocacy information, request a rack for your business, or report needed maintenance, city bicycle laws, and much more.
The Bicycle Transit Center provides bike rentals, service and lockers for Salt Lake City's downtown biking enthusiasts. The center is conveniently located at the UTA Intermodal Hub (250 South 600 West) with bus, TRAX and FrontRunner transit options.
