Meth Lab Seized in
Salt Lake City
Recently, detectives from the Salt
Lake City Police Narcotics Squad received an anonymous tip from a
concerned citizen. The caller said that there was a meth lab operating
out of the residence at 48 South Jeremy Street. An
investigation was conducted and detectives were able to secure a
search warrant for the address.
With the assistance of SWAT, the warrant was served during the early
morning hours of Thursday, February 21, 2008. A meth lab was located
and removed from the residence. 34-year-old Ryan Perry was
located at the residence and arrested for possession of a meth lab and
possession of methamphetamines, marijuana and paraphernalia.
50-year-old Duane Gardner was also arrested at the residence
for possession of marijuana and outstanding warrants.
Meth labs have become scarce in Salt
Lake City the past two years due to tougher legislation and the
continued efforts of law enforcement to eradicate them. Continued
efforts of both police and concerned citizens will help to keep them
out of our neighborhoods.
