Mayor to Announce Major Air Quality Initiative

SALT LAKE CITY – Mayor Ralph Becker will join Councilman Stan Penfold, Utah Transit Authority General Manager Michael Allegra and air quality advocates to  announce a major new air quality initiative at a media event on Friday, Oct. 4 at 10 a.m. near the 900 East TRAX station in the Office Max parking lot, 410 S. 900 East.

The initiative is another step in Mayor Becker’s ongoing work to engage sustainable efforts to address Salt Lake City’s air quality challenges.

This exciting new program will have community-wide impacts that directly address one of the root sources of our local pollution problems.
