Youth Athletic Grant

SALT LAKE CITY has allocated $50,000 in scholarship grants for local non-profit competitive youth athletic organizations. These funds will be allocated in two rounds with $25,000 available immediately and $25,000 to be awarded in the fall.

The goal of this grant is to establish a supplementary funding mechanism accessible for teams, clubs, and athletic organizations empowering them to make competitive sports programs more available by providing individual athletic Scholarships to Salt Lake City youth up to 18 years of age who otherwise would not financially be able to participate.

Funding limits will be set at $15,000 per organization with a maximum scholarship of $1,500 per athlete.

Qualifying non-profit teams, clubs, and athletic organizations will be chosen through an application process and will be selected on an equitable basis with key considerations given to gender parity, geographic distribution of funds, age, athletic activities, an academic and or life skills emphasis, as well as the inclusion of non-traditional groups.
