The Salt Lake City Fire Department provides CPR training once a month.
Heart attack, drowning, electric shock, and other problems may cause a person’s heart to stop pumping blood. Studies show that effective CPR RIGHT AWAY improves survival from cardiac arrest. YOU CAN MAKE A DIFFERENCE. You never know when you might need to use the CPR skills you learn from this course for someone you know or even one of your loved ones.
With this course you will learn CPR basics. You will have a chance to practice many times including use of an automated external defibrillator (AED).
At the completion of the course you will keep your student manual, receive a personal protective barrier device to be used if you ever need to perform CPR, and you will receive a certification card good for two years. The certification is through American Heart Association.
The course is provided monthly at the Salt Lake City Fire Department training center located at 1600 South Industrial Rd. the cost of the course is $45.00 (note that is an all inclusive cost some CPR classes quote a lower cost and then require you to purchase certain items). The course last approximately 4 to 5 hours.
