Mayor Ralph Becker announced on October 16, 2008 that the long anticipated location of Salt Lake City’s soon-to-be built Utah Performance Center is at 135 South Main Street, the former Newspaper Agency Corp building.  

In making the announcement, Mayor Ralph Becker was joined by community leaders from all corners who expressed enthusiasm and praise for the decision.
