Administrative Services
provides administrative and financial services for Salt Lake
City.
The Department ensures that
the City's financial resources are controlled, invested, and
disbursed effectively and appropriately through purchasing,
treasury, budgeting and accounting programs.
Additionally, the Department
provides a balanced system of support and control to City
departments to ensure continuity and effectiveness in the areas
of human resource management, computer systems, training
support, and records management.

Accounting / Finance
The accounting department handles a wide variety
of functions for the city, including payroll, accounts payable,
financial reporting, travel, contract payments, etc.

Capital Asset Management (CAM)
The Capital Asset Management (CAM)
group focuses on developing a citywide strategy for the City's
capital assets, coordinates large capital projects through the
development process and the management of acquisition and
disposal of the City's real property and facilities.

Emergency Management provides the
general public with needed information about disaster and
earthquake preparedness.

Human Resource Management
Human Resources Management provides
the full scope of HR resources for the City, including hiring,
training, benefits and negotiation.

This office provides information,
customer service, and hearings for traffic and parking
violations, small claims, animal control, snow removal, etc.

Policy and Budget
The Policy & Budget group prepares
the City's yearly and biennial budgets and acts as consultants
on economic matters for both the Mayor's Office and the City
Council.

This division handles all
purchasing, contracts and property management for Salt Lake
City.

Recorder's Office
The Salt Lake City Recorder’s
Office has been responsible for maintaining the public record
since January 9, 1851 when Salt Lake City was incorporated as
Great Salt Lake City.

Treasurer's Office
This office provides cashier,
special assessment billing and collection, and cash and debt
management services. The program enables residents to pay City
taxes, fees, service charges and utility bills in one stop.
