City Council of Salt Lake City, Utah, met in Regular Session on Tuesday,
May 22, 2001, at 6:00 p.m. in Room 326, City Council Chambers Office,
City County Building, 451 South State, Salt Lake City, Utah.
The following Council Members were present: Carlton

Roger Cutler, City Attorney; Cindy Gust-Jenson, Council Executive
Director; and Chris Meeker, Chief Deputy City Recorder, were present.
Councilmember Thompson presided at and conducted the meeting. CONSENT AGENDA
ACTION:
Councilmember
Saxton moved and Councilmember C. Christensen
seconded to approve the
Consent Agenda, which motion carried, all members present voted aye. #1.
RE:
Setting the date of June
12, 2001 at 6:00 p.m. to accept public comment regarding the shift
of property tax revenues from Salt Lake County to Salt Lake City in the
amount of approximately $1,276,000. This
tax shift will require Salt Lake County to reduce its certified tax rate
and Salt Lake City may increase its certified tax rate by a corresponding
amount. This tax shift will
not result in a tax increase to Salt Lake City taxpayers.

date of June 12, 2001 at 6:00 p.m. to accept public comment and consider adopting an
ordinance closing
the intersection of 400 South Street and 1000 East Street, to separate
vehicle travel between the City street intersection and Highway Route 186
(UDOT 400 South Street). Pursuant to Petition No. 400-01-19.
