On Tuesday, December 1^st, the Salt Lake City Council will hold the following public hearings at 7:00 p.m. in the City Council Chambers, 451 S. State Street, Room 315.

1.    A hearing related to the Water Conservation Master Plan Update submitted by the City’s Public Utilities Department, which explains the City’s water conservation goals, and lays out some steps to achieve those goals, including action items for the City to implement, and education on conservation efforts that residents and property owners may be able to do.

2.    A hearing relating to a proposed ordinance amending the Salt Lake City Business License Code pertaining to rental dwellings.  If approved, owners of rental dwellings could take advantage of this voluntary program designed to incentivize good management of rental dwellings and to reduce cost to the City taxpayers for regulation of rental units. Those who opt not to participate would be subject to fees for costs of additional City services that could be avoided through greater oversight by the property owner.
