District 6 - JT Martin

In November 2007, JT Martin was elected by residents of District Six to serve a four-year term on the Salt Lake City Council, beginning January 7, 2008.  He currently serves as Vice Chair of the Redevelopment Agency of Salt Lake City.

On August 15, 2008, Council Member Martin hosted a neighborhood meeting to discuss fire prevention and preparation along riparian corridors.

Council Members Martin and Christensen participated in the recent Sister City event with the new Director General of the Taiwan Consulate in San Francisco; Thomas Chen and his assistant Hai-Lei Hsu. Salt Lake City is a Sister City with Keelung City, Taiwan and will celebrate the 30th year in 2009.
