As a Capitol Hill resident, Eric is very familiar with the issues of concern to the District Three populace.  He served as Vice Chairman for the Transportation Advisory Board for three years and as Chair of the Capitol Hill Community Council for five years.  Eric acted as Chair of the Capitol Hill Neighborhood Master Plan Committee, served as a member of the Salt Lake City Mayor’s Task Force on High Performance Building Codes, as a member of Salt Lake City Future’s Commission, and also as a member of the Memory Grove Restoration Committee. Currently, Eric serves as the Vice Chair of the Salt Lake City Redevelopment Agency. In 2004-05, he served a two-year term as the RDA Chair and has previously served as its Vice Chair as well.  

He currently serves as a board member of the Coalition for Utah’s Future, the KUED Friends Board and the Utah Society for Environmental Education.  Eric and his wife Diane are the proud parents of a baby daughter, Anna Stine, and have been Capitol Hill residents for 17 years.

District Three neighborhoods include the lower and upper Avenues, Capitol Hill, West Capitol Hill, Guadalupe and Federal Heights.  District Three is home to the State Capitol building, City Creek Canyon, the City Cemetery, two hospital sites and three historic preservation districts – the Avenues, Capitol Hill and South Temple.
