Eric
Jergensen took the oath of office on January 3, 2006 to
serve a second four-year term as the representative of Salt
Lake City Council District Three. He currently serves as
Chair of the Redevelopment Agency of Salt Lake City. As a
resident of the Capitol Hill neighborhood, Eric continues to
demonstrate his investment and interest in District 3
neighborhoods and in the Salt Lake City community as a
whole.
Eric received a Bachelor of
Science degree in Civil Engineering and a Masters degree in
Business Administration from the University of Utah. Eric
is President of Contour Composites, Inc., a manufacturer of
specialized aerospace components.
On November 17,
2008, Salt Lake City hosted a luncheon in honor of the delegation of
Ukrainian judges who are participating in an Open World
Rule of Law Program. Council Member Members Carlton
Christensen, Eric Jergensen & JT Martin welcomed the delegation to Salt Lake City.
On August 12,
2008, Council Member Jergensen and Mayor Becker present a joint
resolution to Kay Rees to honor her by naming the park located
at 14th Avenue and H Street as Kay Rees Park.
