Van Blair Turner took the oath of office on January 7, 2008, for his third term as the representative of Council District Two.  Van has committed himself to working hard to make Salt Lake City the safest and best place to live.  

Van served as Chair of the Salt Lake City Council in 2007, following his term as its Vice Chair in 2006.  He served as Vice Chair of the Salt Lake City Redevelopment Agency in 2001 and as Chair in 2002 and 2003.
