District 1 - Carlton Christensen
 |
Elected in
November 2009 for a fourth term, Carlton J. Christensen took
the oath of office on January 4, 2010 as the representative
of Council District One. Carlton currently serves as the
Vice Chair of the Redevelopment Agency of Salt Lake City,
and has also served previously as Chair. Carlton has served
as Chair for the Salt Lake City Council and Vice Chair three
separate terms. Carlton formerly served as an ex-officio
member of the Board of Trustees for the
Downtown Alliance.
He also served on the Board of Directors for the
Utah League of Cities & Towns
from 1999 to 2001. Carlton currently serves as the Vice
President for the Associates Board for the
Utah Museum of Natural History
and as an ex officio member of the
Salt Lake City Airport Board.

On January 27, 2010, Mayor Rudy Giuliani was a special guest speaker at the
Utah League of Cities and Towns Local Officials' Day at the Legislature.
