City Crews Working Around-the-Clock To Keep Streets Clear

SALT LAKE CITY – Mayor Ralph Becker and the City Department of Public Services urge residents to minimize driving today as heavy snowfall continues throughout the area.

Snow removal crews were deployed at 3 p.m. yesterday and have been working continuously to plow and salt City streets. Traffic volumes require that crews prioritize main roads, arterials and collector routes. Snow removal personal will remain on a 24-hour work cycle until all Salt Lake City roads, including those in residential areas, are cleared.

The City would also like to remind residents to do their best to keep sidewalks clear and offer aid to neighbors who may have difficulty with shoveling.
