Weed & Seed Program

The Weed & Seed program brings partners together to form collaborations that communicate, cooperate and coordinate efforts, which seek to weed out violent crime and seed in social and economic stability.

Weed and Seed is a community-based strategy sponsored by the U.S. Department of Justice (DOJ). It uses several agencies to approach to law enforcement, crime prevention, and community revitalization matters in targeted communities.

Salt Lake City hosted a Weed & Seed site on the west side of the City, with the following boundaries:

• 600 North to 2100 South
• Redwood Road to I-15

Neighborhoods Include:
• State Fairpark
• Poplar Grove
• Glendale

Although this site is no longer receiving U.S. Department of Justice Funding, the collaborations set forth in this grant are still in effect. Please call Sara Richardson at (801) 535-6035 with any questions.
