Service Detail Attorney's & Prosecutor's Offices
This program insures that the day-to-day operations of the City are
legally responsible and that commitments which the City makes, and
contract which the City enters into, are appropriate legal commitments
which protect the health, safety and welfare of the residents and
resources of the City. When appropriate, the program provides prosecution
of criminal violations.
Risk Management/Property Insurance
The Risk
Manager and Assistant are responsible for handling claims against the
Salt Lake City. These responsibilities include handling liability
claims against the City, coordinating with our Third Party Administrator
regarding Worker’s Compensation claims and recovering for damages to
City owned property.
Other duties of this
division are handling tort claims; placing and monitoring property
insurance policies; performing miscellaneous risk assessments; handling
third-party subrogation claims; and providing loss prevention and
employee safety programs.
