2009 Living Traditions Performing Artists

Music and dance are at the core of human expression and each community develops both celebratory and sacred forms.  The traditional performances of music and dance at Living Traditions provide a rich array of rhythms, movements, instruments and vocals that engage the audience.  On the Living Traditions stages, performers of all ages participate, from children to young people to seniors.  These performing groups represent a commitment to preserving the traditional songs and dance of their respective communities as well as many hours of classes, rehearsal and preparation.  Not only are the music and dance traditional, but much attention is paid to authenticity of the costuming.
