Call for Community Partner Organizations
Organizations that serve individuals with access needs or disabilities

Salt Lake City Corporation is dedicated to creating a more accessible city for individuals with access needs and disabilities. To achieve this goal the involvement of individuals with access needs and disabilities, as well as the organizations that serve them, is crucial.

The Salt Lake City Mayor’s Office is building a list of community partner organizations that serve people with access needs or disabilities and are located within, or serve individuals who live, work or recreate in, Salt Lake City.

The purpose of this partnership is threefold:

  • Involvement – We are interested in direct involvement and input from leaders of partner organizations, as well as their clients or members, on initiatives and projects of Salt Lake City Corporation.
  • Sharing information – We would like assistance in disseminating information regarding opportunities, events and initiatives to organizations and individuals.
  • Listed partner – We are creating a list of organizations to include as a resource for visitors to the Salt Lake City accessibility webpage.

Current opportunities and initiatives include, but are not limited to:

  • Large scale emergency planning and preparedness
  • The Salt Lake City Mayor’s Accessibility & Disability Advisory Council
  • Salt Lake City Boards & Commissions
  • Salt Lake City Corporation’s initiative to hire more people with access needs and disabilities
  • Collaboration and assistance from Salt Lake City Corporation on the initiatives of community partner organizations

To become a community partner organization you must be a nonprofit organization or government entity.
