Watershed Education Program Fact Sheet
Program Objectives
- Educate public about the importance of our local protected watershed areas and the positive impact they can have on their drinking water supply
- Motivate the public to become good stewards of these protected watersheds

School Curriculum
- Developed under the approval of the Utah State Board of Education
- Created with a panel of working teachers
- Will first appear in the classroom during the 2004/05 school year
- Designed to supplement the existing section on water
- Includes a Teacher’s Guide and Student Workbook
- Will be taught to 4th and 9th grade students
