Our goal is to send the evil invasive weed Dyers Woad ‘running’ from City Creek Canyon! Stop this year’s seed crop from spreading by hand pulling as much Dyers Woad as possible.
Dyers Woad (Isatis tinctoria) is on Utah’s noxious weeds list because it reduces wildlife forage, ruins native plant communities and damages cropland. The best way to get rid of Dyers Woad is to pull it. Since the first ‘Woad Runner’ in 2006, we have only seen a 10% return rate of this noxious weed in areas that were pulled.

Everyone from the City Creek loving public is invited to come take part in this community event! For more information contact Vanessa Welsh by calling 801-483-6884 or by email vanessa.welsh@slcgov.com .
