Storm Water Pollution Prevention Plans
Information
There is a lot of confusing and misunderstanding on what
is required to comply with the EPA’s requirements regarding a Storm Water
Pollution Prevention Plan (SWPPP). The simple answer is if you have a
site that is disturbing more than 1-acre of land, then you must complete a
SWPPP specific to the site and have the Plan (typically a bound book), and
the applicable maps (the erosion control plans) readily available onsite for
reference, review and inspection. There are very specific laws
regarding the BMPs and their maintenance and limitations. This SWPPP
book addresses all of the requirements and provided the contractor all of
the permits, contacts, forms and information necessary to comply with
federal laws regarding erosion.
