Newspaper and newspaper inserts
Newspaper and advertising supplements
that are included with the newspaper will be accepted.
Corrugated cardboard
Has a wavy layer between two thinner
layers. You can also include brown paper bags. Please do
not include boxes that have food contamination on them. Break
down the boxes to fit inside the container.
You can also recycle paperboard from
cereal boxes, paper towel and toilet paper tubes, shoe boxes,
detergent boxes, etc.
Magazines and phone books
Aluminum cans
Aluminum beverage cans are happily accepted;
however, we do not accept aluminum foil. Please empty cans before
placing them in the recycling container.
Steel (tin) food cans
Only food or beverage cans will be
accepted. Labels do not need to be removed. Please empty cans before
placing them in the recycling container. Aerosol cans are not
accepted.
All plastics
You can recycle any plastic item with
the number 1 - 7 recycling symbol on the container, including
plastic grocery bags. Empty containers and remove and discard any
lids from bottles.
Plastic-coated milk and juice cartons
Dairy and juice cartons with
"gable-top" in half-gallon, quart and pint sizes will also be
accepted. Please empty cartons before putting them in the bin.
Paper
You can recycle junk mail, envelopes,
office paper and notebook paper.

If you put items in your recycling bins that are not
on the list above, Republic Services (formerly Allied Waste) reserves the right to landfill the
material or refuse to empty your bins. It costs the City more when
materials you put in your blue can have to be landfilled than if you had put it in
your garbage can. If you have any questions about whether an item is
