e2 Business
e2 stands for economically and environmentally sustainable. The
e2 Business program is an innovative tool that provides local business the knowledge and support to implement a sustainable business model. Through instituting sound and environmentally-friendly business practices it is possible to increase the efficiency and cost effectiveness of you business with value added benefits. These include free advertising, earned media, free consultation with Salt Lake City staff experts and use of the e2 brand.
High Performance Building
Salt Lake City requires that all city-owned and operated buildings meet the “Silver” level efficiency standards set forth by the Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design (LEED). By exceeding the standards of “certified,” Salt Lake City sets an example for responsible city management that reduces negative environmental impacts, and through decreased operating costs, saves taxpayer money.
