

Salt Lake City is home to Utah’s higher education flagship institution. The University of Utah, and accompanying Research Park, are at the cutting edge of research and technology. Founded in 1850, the University of Utah enrolls more than 29,000 students studying over 77 subjects at the undergraduate level, and over 95 fields of study at the graduate level. The University’s Research Park houses a multitude of university-fostered companies, research facilities, and academic departments creating an overall annual productivity that exceeds $550 million.
Salt Lake City is also home to Utah’s only private liberal arts college. Westminster College enrolls 2,500 students to both its undergraduate and master’s programs. Consistently ranked as a top tier institution by U.S. News and World Report, Westminster College has a reputation for strong academic standards and an intellectually vibrant student body.
Brigham Young University’s (BYU) downtown campus will support more than 5,000 students offering several programs including business classes. Additionally, Salt Lake City is home to Salt Lake Community College, LDS Business College, and Eagle Gate College, which provide students with excellent educational opportunities, and professional training in a vast array of study areas with a real world approach.
